Ok. I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been on vaycay, but I’ve also been all the way in my emotions. There’s a lot I share with you guys, but there’s also a lot that I keep to myself. I’m not one to air my dirty laundry so I think it’s best I shut up lol. Just know that I’ve got actual constructive shit on the way and I haven’t fallen off a cliff or anything. March’s DreamCatcher interview is going to be extra dope and I’m excited for more giveaways and music reviews. I’m an emotional person. I don’t know if it’s my fire sign, or just my natural disposition, but when I get in my emotions, I’M ALL UP AND THROUGH EM. My Valentine’s Day started off shitty. I’d let my emotions get the best of me, a trait I’d thought I’d gotten good at avoiding at one point. Alas, I’ve been slipping as of late. I woke up at 5am and the day was on from then. After a few emo hours I decided to get my shit together. There was no way I was going to have a bad Valentine’s day.

Legendary Black History: Whitney Houston

On February 11, 2012 the world lost one of its greatest voices. Whitney Elizabeth Houston began what would be one of the greatest entertainment careers of all time singing alongside her mother Cissy Houston. She was soon discovered and began modeling, gracing the pages of Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and was one of the first women of color to land the cover of Seventeen.  She recorded vocals on a number of albums for a host of artists before releasing her first solo project Whitney Houston in 1985. She’s been in the game WELL over 30 years y’all. Over the course of her seven album musical career and work on soundtracks, Whitney Houston has won over 415 awards including 6 Grammy’s, 2 Emmy’s, 22 American Music Awards and 30 Billboard Music Awards. Sit on that for a minute.
