N.O. Part Deux

*** This post is WAAAAAY overdue, but here it is!!! ***

Failed relationship aside, it felt good to be back in NOLA. It was SO great seeing my boo Angie!!! I missed her and her family so much; they’re so warm and fun. Her kids are the best. I got out there mid day  Sunday February 19th and I stayed until Saturday the 25th.

The highlight of my trip this time was REALLY Burbon Street. I’ve been to Mardi Gras before (peep this post here for last years experience), but I never enjoyed the actual Mardi Gras festivities. Last year Angie had to work so I walked around with her boyfriend Dejon and the kids. Needless to say, stopping every two minuets for D to talk to someone he knew wasn’t my cup of tea (he’s Mr. Popularity, btw). This year though, Angie’s work schedule allowed for way more fun. I enjoyed the Zulu parade with D and the kids (Nas, 4 and Dre, 11) and we met up with Angie early that afternoon. We walked around for a bit, sat and ate, listened to live music, then we parted our ways. Angie and I (along with her uncle, “Pops”) headed to Bourbon Street where we met up with her friend Elsley. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.
