Natural Hair Product “Freshman Class” Part One

I’ve been natural for 8 months now. Time is flying and I don’t even notice it. Eight months in, and this natural hair life is still new to me.  Between my monthly curlBox and my local beauty supply store, I’ve been through quite the number of products already. Some I love, some I hate, and some I still haven’t decided how to feel about. I’ve broken down my “Freshman Class” of products – my list of the best products I’ve come across and tried so far in this first year.

For the record, I’m not into hair typing, so I won’t venture to classify mine, but to make things easier for those of you who do, I will describe it. If the pictures and YouTube videos aren’t enough, I have a lot of small and tight coarse curls. Some areas are more wavy and some are I guess a free natured coil (no real definition to classify as a curl or wave, but definitely not straight). My daily regimine is really quite simple especially when I’m just wearing a wash and go; cowash, moisturize and go.
