I’ve been telling ya’ll for years that zombies are real. But everyone just laughed at me and said “D it’s just a movie.” I had to be about eight when I watched Dawn of the Living Dead on my mama’s couch with my parents and my uncle. This uncle in particular is squeamish so I’m sure his fear rubbed off on me. You know who you are lol. That night, I began to have nightmares that zombies were coming into my bedroom window to get me. They lasted about two weeks. Then enter The Serpent and the Rainbow. I don’t know when I first saw it, maybe middle school, but that shit right there? Listen. LISTEN. There was no going back. You couldn’t tell my ass zombies weren’t real.
I’m open minded enough to believe that just because I don’t practice a belief system, doesn’t lessen it’s validity. There are millions of people who practice Voodoo and Santaria. Just because EYE don’t practice those religions, doesn’t mean that I don’t believe in their power. All those people who believe in it means something. I’m not narrow minded enough to believe that Christianity is the only way to go. It works for me and I believe in it, but I don’t knock ANYONE’S beliefs. Anyway, I’ve always believed that in some form zombies were real. Not in the sense that Hollywood portrays them, but in the sense that the idea came from somewhere. As an adult, I won’t watch zombie movies or shows. Fuuuuuuuuck that. I only watched I Am Legend cause of Will. I don’t care how good Walking Dead is. I’m good. But. Shit is getting real. Eating a mans face? Eating a roommates brain and heart? A mother eating parts of her child? Ya’ll better get right with your God.Read More»
